Merry Christmas 2023

Camping at Kioloa Beach

Hello dear reader,
I'm popping into your inbox to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and to give you some general news and a book update.

General news

My apologies for the long radio silence. 2023 has been a busy and challenging year. Sadly, we lost our beloved 17-year-old dog, Scruffy, in September. She had been ill for quite some time. It was hard, but we have a lot of happy memories. Meanwhile, our mechanical business has been non-stop, keeping us on our toes. We fitted in an incredible trip to New Zealand later in the year, but then we both caught COVID, so that slowed us down for a bit. And now Christmas is here and we're peering into the new year already!

Glamping

We escaped and went camping right before the December school break in the VW camper my husband's been fixing up. Her name is Evie. Check out these pics. Do you like the curtains? Seriously retro! My friend Emily thinks it looks like the Partridge family bus. lol When I talk about camping, I mean, staying at a caravan park that's really close to the beach, pool, facilities, and Sue Clelland's outstanding café, Saltwood. They even had yoga this time! https://www.judy3mpoweryou.com/ Thanks, to yoga teacher Judy Tahapeti. It was an amazing break.

Book Update

I'm still compiling the book of interviews with sixteen outstanding women who own small businesses. It's got a new title! Now it's called Voices of Entrepreneurial Women: Inspiring Stories from Small Business Owners. After a lot of thought and research, I've decided to self-publish this book. It's quite a challenge, but I'm totally committed to making an amazing book that honours the women's stories and will motivate anyone who reads it. I'm in the final stages of editing about to launch into cover design and formatting. Hopefully, it'll be ready and out in the world by February/March 2024.

A shout out to my wonderful mentor Pamela Cook  https://www.pamelacook.com.au/ and to the lovely Michelle Barraclough https://www.freshwebdesign.com.au/ Thank you so much for all your kind support, wisdom, and encouragement throughout the year. K xx.

Finally

And that's it from me 😊

Have a wonderful Christmas. Whether you're spending it with family and friends, or quietly, I wish you all the best for the holiday season.

Stay safe, be joyful, and I'll see you in 2024!

Love
