Did you miss out on my Gerringong Library workshop?

We came together to celebrate International Women’s Day 🎉 and talk about how women can pursue their dreams and goals with confidence 🚀

Good news! This was just the beginning, I'm launching a ten-part series to continue the conversation.

Enjoy Part Two and please leave your comments below.

Post Two;

The difference between Dreams and Goals

Have you ever thought about the difference between a dream and a goal? They might sound like the same thing, but they're actually quite different.

A dream is that spark of excitement, the thing you daydream about, sometimes for years. It’s about the big picture.

A goal happens when you take action to make the dream real.

So, while your dream might be to play the guitar, your goal is to practice two chords for five minutes every night.

Think of a dream as the inspiration within you and a goal as the roadmap that gives you direction and gets you there.

In his book, Atomic Habits, James Clear emphasises that achieving goals isn't just about the result—it's about the strategies and habits we put in place along the way.

The key? Small, simple, and consistent steps that become habits. That's where the magic happens!

Also remember that setbacks are a normal part of life. Expect life to throw you curveballs. Treat yourself with kindness and compassion as you keep going forward..

While I was researching my book, Voices of Entrepreneurial Women, I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. It was a shock.

I had to make some changes in my life but I am not defined by the disease.

I am who I am - a person with ‘one wild and precious life’ (credits, Mary Oliver) and I intend to live it to the full.

What's one small step you can take toward your goal today?
